The best Christmas markets of Majorca 2016.

This is the most beautiful time of the year to stroll around our city or around the city we are visiting. The atmosphere is full of Christmas songs, lights, joy and illusion for Christmas presents. The best place to buy these presents for our family and friends, as well as Christmas decoration, are the Christmas markets. These markets and festivals are very well known in many European cities, and here in Majorca are very important too. That’s why we want to say which ones are the best to visit in the island and you can’t miss it!:


1-Palma

In the city of Palma, Christmas time is very important. We recommend you to see the city lights, they are absolutely beautiful. The walk can be completed visiting one of the Christmas markets of the city. The most important one is probably the one situated in Plaza Mayor. You will find there all kind of Christmas decoration for the Nativity crib, Christmas tree and also typical Majorcan pastry. You can visit it from the 18th December during the whole day.


2-Playa de Palma

Did you think that after the summer there was nothing to do in Majorca?, you were wrong!, in this touristic area during the summer, you can visit a Christmas Market too, actually in Can Pastilla.


3-Puerto Portals

This area of Majorca is very lively throughout the year, not only during the summer. Christmas decoration here is beautiful and charming. From the 16th of December until the 6th of January you can enjoy a children program full of activities for them. You will also find lots of options of Street Food from other parts of the world, but always ecologic.


4-Calvia

In the area of Port Adriano, located in the municipality of Calvia, takes place a Christmas festival of Street Food. Santa Claus will visit the market too as well as you can enjoy the children singing Christmas songs while you enjoy the best street food. Cold may not be a major problem as everything is ready to create a magic atmosphere.
