Puig de Sant Salvador

The route of medium difficulty, that goes from Playa de Muro to Puig de Sant Salvador, in Felanitx, is one of the most emblematic of the island, as well as a favorite one among Majorcan people. It has a length of about 5 km, has a slope of 900 meters, and from its peak, almost 500 meters high, you can enjoy one of the most spectacular views of the whole island.

The Route 167

This route is mythical and of a greater difficulty, so it is more recommended for professional cyclists or with high experience. It has a difference of 2,150 meters, and it is a shorter version of the Mallorca 312 cycling race. With Route 167 you will cross the Serra de Tramuntana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and all its beautiful villages, such as Sóller, Deià or Valldemossa. On the way, you will also see the reservoirs of Gorg Blau and Cúber.

Formentor Lighthouse

Departing from Playa de Muro, the excursion to Formentor is one of the most beautiful and popular cycling routes in Mallorca. With a difference of 1,200 meters and medium difficulty, the route to the Formentor Lighthouse has become one of the essential plans in Mallorca. This route is famous for the sharp curves, its length of about 10 kilometers and of course, the incredible mountain views and over the Mediterranean sea.

Palma Maritime Promenade

One of the best cycling routes to enjoy in Mallorca, especially if you travel with children, is the one that runs along the Palma Maritime Promenade to the S'Arenal area. With this route, which you can follow along the bike path enjoying views of the Mediterranean Sea, you will pass through the areas of Playa de Palma and the famous Portixol. During the journey you will also see the Cathedral of Palma, the Parc de la Mar and all the beaches in the area. Palma by bicycle is an essential plan for everyone, that is why there is a wonderful bike path that runs through the centre of the city and the Palma Bay. The entire bike lane of Palma is perfectly signposted, which makes it a clear favorite for families. In addition, the city is very comfortable to visit, and you can always deviate slightly to visit emblematic neighborhoods of the center such as Santa Catalina.

Bicycle path of Calvià

In the southwest of Mallorca, the municipality of Calviá is one of the best places to practice cycling in Mallorca. Located between the Serra de Tramuntana and Na Burguesa, it offers several routes and itineraries for cyclists of all levels, either by the bay of Palmanova, by Cala Figuera or up to the Puig de Galatzó. All of them are impressive, but if you travel with your family, it is best to rent a bicycle and go along the Calvia bike path. A splendid plan!
