Life in Sant Llorenç and Son Carrió, on the east of Majorca, revolves around the rural nature of its great estates and a blue sea which bathes its extensive beaches.
After Cala Millor, Sa Coma is the longest beach (almost 1 km.) on the entire east coast of Majorca. Between the two lies Punta de n'Amer, a peninsula of 200 hectares of unspoilt scenery which is also a Natural Area of Special Interest, and where you can visit an old defence tower dating from the 17th century.
The Sant Llorenç coastline offers the chance to enjoy every variety of sport or leisure pursuit, with tennis schools, golf courses, sport centres with squash courts, bowling, windsurfing, sailing, diving...
A further attraction is the International Aerostatic Balloon Race, in which fifty or so balloons from more than twelve countries take part every year. |
